As we welcome 2026, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to each of you for your unwavering support and active participation in our monthly events throughout 2025; your enthusiasm and commitment have truly strengthened the bonds within our Panhellenic community. A special thank you goes to everyone who contributed to our community service initiatives and giving campaigns; your generosity and dedication have made a meaningful impact, and together, we’ve shown what it means to lead with purpose and compassion. Together, we've done so much in our 2025-2026 service year while having a ton of fun too ... (1) Absolutely incredible welcome event, hosted by Liz Battaglia, bringing all of us together with food and fun. I'm especially thankful that we welcomed a few new members at this event!!! Our VP, Meredith Kunzke, shared more about our new philanthropy which was also added to the September Pannea as well as our website: Circle of Sisterhood (2) Scarily fun Halloween game night, hosted by Wendy Christopher, filled with fun games and lots of yummy treats ... in addition to, of course, great conversations and lots of fun. (3) Hosted our first Celebration of Sisterhood happy hour in the private room of Sports Grill (9090 SW 97th Avenue) during which we not only learned something new (and quite impressive) about our sisters, we also supported 100 Ladies of Deering and made connections with a few new MWP members. (4) Through Jeli Fiol's connections, we collected donations to fulfill the Christmas wishes of the children in the South Florida Foster and Adopted Parents Association exceeding all expectations we had for our holiday season service project. (5) We wished everyone Mele Kalikimaka during our annual holiday celebration. Hosted by Wendy Armstrong and Wendy Christopher who were even able to track down Santa Claus to join us before he had to rush back to the North Pole to support his toy making elves. (6) Our service chair, Susie Caceres, helped us to donate formal dresses to the Dress Me Darling Foundation a nonprofit organization that collects and donates prom attire for underprivileged high school students. (7) Reminded both UM and FIU panhellenic organizations about our scholarship opportunities. Thank you to those who've volunteered to read applications and provide your selection for our 2026 scholarship winners. Looking ahead, I’m excited for all that 2026 will bring. With your continued involvement, we’ll make this new year even more vibrant, impactful, and inspiring.
